Hawkes Bay 2015 vintage. Already drinking well, this is a blend of Merlot (55 per cent), Cabernet Sauvignon (25 per cent) and Cabernet Franc (20 per cent).
Matured for 18 months in seasoned French oak barrels, and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it is full-coloured and mouthfilling, with ripe berry, plum and spice flavours, showing good complexity, and gentle tannins. Still youthful, it should be at its best 2019+" Michael Cooper.
